Fall Protection Systems

Use of high-rise structures in the construction of industrial infrastructure requires from the construction organizations and service providers special care of safe lifting and work of the corresponding personnel. In all cases, even when there is a minimal risk of man’s falling from some height, fall protection shall be used for safety reasons.

While installing and exploiting constructions made by the production department of GC “Ocean” we use and recommend the customer passive (that exclude the possibility of falling from height and do not require any additional actions of personnel) and active (that use personal protective equipment to prevent falls from height) elements of fall protection.

Our manufactured passive elements of fall protection are vertical ladder cages and the active ones are cable systems for fall protection.

A vertical ladder cage consists of vertical and horizontal components that have standard sizes.

The distance between the transverse arcs is not less than 50 cm, the radius of the bend is 40 cm. Every arc is attached right to the string. The cage is made of steel strip with longitudinal reinforcing inserts.

If a horizontal force is applied to the cage, it shall withstand a load of at least 75 kg.

Cable system of fall protection consists of a safety self-locking c and stainless steel cable with a diameter of 8 mm.

Safety stainless steel cable is tensed between the upper and lower points of attachment by the tensioner. The maximum distance between the cable guides is 10 meters.

Safety carrier can be caught and removed at any point. The carrier is equipped with a carabine to engage the front point of a safety harness.
